Doorstep Drive – Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility to Rent
- Be at least 21 years old
- Hold a valid U.S. driver’s license
- Have active full-coverage auto insurance
- Provide a valid credit/debit card
- Agree to all Terms and Conditions
2. Insurance Requirement
Doorstep Drive does not provide insurance. Renters must have full coverage insurance that:
- Includes liability, collision, and comprehensive
- Is under the renter’s name
- Is active for the full rental period
Proof is required before booking. We may contact your insurer for verification.
3. Deposit Policy
If full coverage is verified, no deposit is required.
If not, a $500 refundable deposit may apply or the rental may be denied.
Deposits are refunded within 5-7 business days after a satisfactory return.
4. Vehicle Usage Restrictions
You may not:
- Use for rideshare or delivery (unless approved)
- Drive under the influence
- Leave the U.S.
- Sublease or allow unauthorized drivers
- Use for racing, towing, or off-roading
5. Vehicle Condition & Responsibility
You are responsible for returning the vehicle in its original condition. You are liable for:
- Damages not covered by insurance
- Lost keys, flat tires, etc.
- Parking fines or violations during your rental
6. Delivery & Return
Doorstep Drive offers free delivery and pickup locally. You agree to:
- Be available at the delivery location on time
- Return the vehicle on time and in good condition
- Report any issues immediately
7. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancel up to 24 hours before the rental for a full refund.
Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a 25% fee.
8. Limitation of Liability
Doorstep Drive is not liable for:
- Indirect or incidental damages
- Delays caused by external events
- Items left in the vehicle
You agree to indemnify Doorstep Drive against any claims related to your rental.
9. Privacy Policy
Your information is collected to:
- Verify identity and insurance
- Process payments
- Fulfill legal obligations
We do not sell your data to third parties.
10. Modifications
These Terms may be updated at any time. Continued use signifies acceptance of the latest version.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Indiana law. Any disputes must be resolved in Vanderburgh County, Indiana courts.
12. Renter Agreement Acknowledgments
By proceeding with a booking, the renter confirms:
- “I have read and agree to the Terms & Conditions, including the full insurance requirement and liability clauses.”
- “In the event of damages not covered by renter’s insurance, the renter agrees to be personally liable and authorizes Doorstep Drive to recover all associated costs from the renter directly.”
